This photoblog is meant to share my 2 month journey across the United States and communicate my experience with the land, the people, the spirit and the “ghosts” that roam within.

My route is uncertain and accommodations are day to day, but I wanted to allow myself to be uncomfortable.  To explore.  To stay curious.

Along the way I hope to capture as much media as possible.  Video, photo, audio captured in as many places and I can get my lens or mic.

In an attempt to share the world through my lens I will post at least one photo each day.

I see the camera as a way to capture moments that exist for just a blink of a shutter and are then gone forever.  These are the ghosts all around us.  Some happen so fast that they would be missed by the naked eye.  Others drudge on so slowly that we do not take notice because it is too gradual to bother.  A camera can see these, imprint them and share them.  In this way a camera allows us to capture the transient light that we often times never notice.  I want to reinterpret the world through the lens of the camera and see it in a way my eyes never could while embedding themes of Americana whenever possible.  My central theme will be capturing these “opaque ghosts”.

Please enjoy the images I compile in the coming months and all feedback and comments are appreciated.
