Milwaukee is beer, brats and bikes in 3 words. I didn’t expect to enjoy this city nearly as much as I did, but the mix of culture, food and tons of beer helped bolster my opinion on this quiet city tucked away at the edge of the Lake Michigan. We visited museums, breweries and the up and coming Bay View neighborhood. This is the Milwaukee Art Museum designed by Salvadore Calatrava. The structure itself is such a designing marvel that it almost definitely overshadows the exhibits it houses. The “wings” on the structure open and close depending sunlight heat and wind conditions.
