Jackson Wyoming is base camp for visits to Grand Teton and Yellowstone. It’s a town known for its advanced ski slopes and its charming boutique shops. It should also be known for its local inn/bar called the Virginian, which is where real Jackson folks go for a beer. When you exit Jackson to the south you round a hilltop and are immediately taken aback by the Grand Teton mountains jutting out from the East. The area surrounding the highway is filled elk, buffalo, marmots and even some moose. This shot shows the high winds blowing the snow off of the peak of Grand Teton 14,000 feet up. We decided not to climb it because we left our avalanche kits in the car. This is a color photo.

Can’t believe this isn’t black and white!
