Up the left coast through wine country and Mendocino. Amazing vineyards and people in the least touristy of Central California’s three biggest wine producing counties dotted the landscape as we moved north to Portland. Over the course of 3 days we covered the Anderson wine Valley, Humbolt Redwoods(the Avenue of Giants was a 40 mile stretch of highway through some of the most pristine and imposing redwood forests in the country) and Southern Oregon’s mist filled mountains. All that can be said about this splendid drive has already been said by many before me, but I can’t reiterate how sublime this landscape is. It almost makes me sad I may never get to do it again. This was a photo just north of the coastal town of Mendocino.

Dreamlike image. gawjus!!
Hurrah, you are back! This water looks like an oil painting. Did you taste various wine at different wineries you visited? You should never say “never”. I am sure you will be pulled back to those sublime landscapes in the future. Are you planning to drive around McKinsey River? I know McKinsey Path is closed until June.
Hey, I took the same scene this time last year and it didn’t look this way….was it me, the camera or the fact the gods must be smiling on Kenz??
Did you, in fact, upgrade your drinking standards to wine?? Hope you piled some in the back for the homecoming party.
