Six Flags

These pictures (this and the previous) were taken at the abandoned remains of Six Flags in New Orleans. It had been shut down since Katrina and blocked off with 15 foot barbed wire fence. I managed to find a back route in through some marshlands off the highway and came upon this surreal sight. I’m not sure if it is more a testament to the destructive power of man or nature, probably more the former.

I couldn’t decide which picture better captured the character of that desolate place so I put up both.
