Although tomorrow is dedicated Elvis day, Nashville is just as obsessed with the King as any other place in Tennessee. His likeness is on storefronts, his name is on buildings and his music is played in the clubs. I liked the color in this photo and thought it had a nice mixture of the old and the new Nashville. Not to mention I’m pretty excited to go to Graceland and I have Elvis on the brain.

Just being here compounds my already substantial Elvis frenzy, of course Nashville isn’t a one horse town. The Country Music Hall of Fame pays homage to the likes of Hank, Dolly, Gene, Patsy, Flatt and Scruggs just to name a few. And the Opry has been broadcasting everyone who is anyone in Country/Bluegrass for over 80 straight years. Listening to the Bluegrass at the Opry brought be back to my childhood because it also brought my dad back to his childhood. I guess in this way our music lives on forever.

There’s no question, Nashville is a music town…or city.

  1. I can see the effect of a new lens. KE

  2. It’s a town, Titans notwithstanding.

Lisa and I have a picture of us with this statue taken on New Year’s Eve a couple years ago. I’m really bored at work and am going to try to find a way to make every picture on your blog about me.

    • I noticed you have been stealing my fire one post at a time. And this was concocted so brilliantly that this was the last comment I read. You are a true craftsman.
